Key Bible Verse:Key Bible Verse: Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires (Psalm 37:4). Bonus Reading: Luke 1:11-20

A man’s life becomes an adventure when he recovers his dreams. Sometimes those dreams are buried deep and take some unearthing. Often the clues are in those moments in our past when we found ourselves loving what we were doing. Dale was the neighborhood ringleader as a boy; in college, he was captain of the tennis team. He comes alive when he is leading men. Charles was always drawing as a child. In high school, what he loved best was ceramics class. He gave up painting after college and finally came alive again when at age 51 he got it back.

If you had permission to do what you really want to do, what would you do? Don’t ask how, that will cut your desire off at the knees. How is a faithless question. It means “unless I can see my way clearly I won’t venture forth.” When the angel told Zechariah that his ancient wife would bear him a son named John, Zechariah asked how and was struck dumb for it. How is God’s department. He’s asking you what. What makes you come alive? If you could do what you’ve always wanted to do, what would it be? A man discovers his true calling when he enters the frontier of his deep desires.

My Response: Here’s how I’d answer John’s question: ________________
